SCN and ADL Launch Regional Security & Intelligence Briefings
The Secure Community Network (SCN) and the ADL’s (Anti-Defamation League) Center on Extremism (COE) successfully launched their new Regional Security &Intelligence Briefings Pilot Program on Wednesday, 19 February with an inaugural event in Denver, Colorado. This groundbreaking initiative, hosted in collaboration with JEWISHcolorado, gathered nearly 50 community leaders for a dynamic discussion focused on antisemitism, threats facing communities, and strategies for preparedness.
Designed to deliver crucial regionally focused intelligence and actionable security guidance, this new arm of the partnership between ADL and SCN provides Jewish institutions nationwide with insights into evolving threats and tailored best practices. Each briefing combines expert analysis of antisemitism, extremism, and regional threats with security updates and practical recommendations customized for local communities.
“The launch of this program marks a significant milestone in strengthening our communities through collaboration and proactive security,” said SCN National Director & CEO Michael Masters. “The threats facing our community do not respect borders or organizational boundaries; collaboration is key to protecting our community, and I am grateful to our colleagues at the ADL and in our Federations for their partnership. These briefings equip Jewish leaders and institutions to effectively recognize and address threats unique to their regions. Bringing regional stakeholders together is essential for building resilience and ensuring community safety.”
“Antisemitic incidents and threats against the Jewish community have surged to unprecedented levels. In this critical moment, it is essential for organizations focused on the safety and security of the Jewish community to collaborate closely,” stated Oren Segal, ADL Senior Vice President for Counter-Extremism and Intelligence. “Through this vital partnership, SCN and the ADL Center on Extremism will provide regional briefings, share best practices, and equip Jewish communities nationwide to effectively respond to emerging threats and concerns.”
