Jewish Security Operations Command Center™

Secure Community Network’s Jewish Security Operations Command Center™ (JSOCC™) functions 24/7, serving as the central hub for threat monitoring and analysis for the Jewish community in North America.

Our team of experienced analysts employs a state-of-the-art proprietary technology stack, our Realtime Actionable Intelligence Network™ (Project RAIN™), to sift through vast amounts of internet traffic, including social media sites and the dark web, to identify potential threats and trends that could impact Jewish life.

We maintain close relationships with law enforcement agencies and other partners, enabling us to receive and share critical information in real time to prevent threats from manifesting into incidents and thwart or mitigate incidents as they happen. This central hub allows for the flow of information to be communicated seamlessly up to our leadership, across to our partners, and down to our full-time local professionals.

[This is] the most dynamic and complex threat environment facing the United States– and the Jewish community, specifically– in the history of the United States.

Christopher A. Wray, Director Of the Federal Bureau of Investigation

With nearly 67% of all religiously related hate crimes directed at Jews, we need to create a national defensive shield by uniting our growing Jewish security network & enhancing our intelligence capabilities to transform from siloed and reactive to collaborative and proactive.

Project RAIN: Realtime Actionable Intelligence Network™

We are Proactive, Not Powerless

Project RAIN™ is the national security and information sharing initiative designed to unite Federations, national partners, and the Secure Community Network (SCN) on a common platform to create a defensive intelligence shield across North America.

What is the origin of Project RAIN™?

In the aftermath of the Pittsburgh attack on 27 October 2018, a team of dedicated members of the Pittsburgh community came together with SCN through The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.

These community members, many of whom had grown up in Squirrel Hill, had been members of the Tree of Life Congregation, and, as successful technology entrepreneurs, had developed and been a part of building and deploying advanced software solutions.

Together with the Pittsburgh community members, other technologists, leading machine learning and neural net experts, academics, and public safety, law enforcement, and intelligence experts, SCN developed a solution to better protect the Jewish community from the online threats and incidents that target the community’s physical spaces.

How does Project RAIN™ benefit the Jewish community?

Project RAIN™ reduces silos and enables a professional, intelligence-led approach to prevent incidents and violence by continuously monitoring threats, rapidly alerting community members, and coordinating among security partners.
