Amanda Braswell is the Secure Community Network (SCN) Regional Security Advisor for Jewish Community Partners – Memphis. In this role, Ms. Braswell serves as a security advisor, liaison, and training coordinator to provide direction and ensure the development, organization, implementation, and monitoring of the greater Memphis area Jewish community security operations and program. This includes providing guidance and strategic direction to ensure the safety and security of all member institutions of the community and surrounding region. She also serves as a liaison during crisis response and mitigation efforts and coordinates on behalf of SCN with federal, state, and local law enforcement, non-profit, public, private, and other stakeholder organizations in the region on community safety and security matters.

Ms. Braswell is a Memphis-based security professional with more than 21 years of experience. Before joining SCN in 2021, Ms. Braswell served as a detective with the Germantown Police Department, where she specialized in digital forensics, financial crimes, computer crimes and scams, and child exploitation. Additionally, as a certified instructor, Ms. Braswell conducted training on behalf of the Department in general safety, identity theft, internet safety, and internet safety for kids. Ms. Braswell is also a freelance editor and has edited many published works.

Ms. Braswell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Tennessee and is a graduate of the National Forensic Academy. Ms. Braswell is a certified instructor, a certified digital forensics examiner, and is certified for Crisis Intervention.
