Brad Orsini
Senior National Security Advisor
Bradley (Brad) Orsini has served as the Senior National Security Advisor for the Secure Community Network (SCN) since 2020. In his role, he provides security consultations, training, and direct response to critical incidents to Jewish communities across North America.
Prior to joining SCN, Brad served from 2017 to 2020 as the first director of community security for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. He developed a communal security program that provided security consultations, building and organizational assessments, training and drills, and threat mitigation to more than 60 synagogues, schools, daycare centers, camps, assisted living facilities, and other Jewish organizations. In three years, Brad provided security training and awareness to more than 16,000 people.
Brad previously served as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 28 years. He began his FBI career in 1988 in the Newark Division and spent the next 16 years investigating violent crimes, gangs, drug organizations, public corruption, and civil rights violations. Brad was selected to supervise the Newark Division’s response to the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, leading the FBI’s searches and arrests in New Jersey with a group of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials.
In 2004, Brad transferred to the Pittsburgh Division and was assigned to the Public Corruption/Civil Rights Squad. In 2007, he was promoted to lead the squad as Supervisory Special Agent. He also supervised the Training and Community Outreach programs and was the crisis management coordinator for the Pittsburgh Division.
Prior to joining the FBI, Brad served on active duty as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of captain. He earned a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from The Pennsylvania State University.
