David Humble

David Humble serves as the Regional Director for Region IX for Secure Community Network (SCN). In this role, David is responsible for the oversight, development, and management of the SCN Regional Security Advisor (RSA) and SCN Community Security Director (CSD) programs in Region IX. He first joined SCN in December 2021 as the Regional Security Director based in Scottsdale, AZ.

Before joining SCN, David was employed by the Tempe Police Department in Tempe, AZ. After 30 years of service, David honorably retired as an Assistant Chief of Police. David served in executive-level and operational leadership roles within law enforcement, including Patrol Operations, Threat Mitigation Unit, Special Events Bureau, Gang and K9 Unit, Internal Affairs, Crime Prevention, Communications, and Community Affairs. David has extensive supervisory experience in managing large-scale events and critical incidents and directing proactive safety efforts in residential, business, and educational communities. 

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies and a Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University. David is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy (FBINA) and the Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP) and is an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA).
