Grant Mendenhall
Deputy Director, Operations
Grant Mendenhall has served as the Secure Community Network’s (SCN) Deputy Director of Operations since Fall of 2022.
Prior to assuming this role, he was appointed as the Community Security Director for the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis in March of 2020. Grant retired from the FBI on February 29, 2020, after a 30 year career. Prior to his FBI career, Grant served as an Infantry Officer in the United
States Marine Corps.
In the FBI, Grant served in Milwaukee, Salt Lake City, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Baghdad, Iraq, Washington Field Office, FBI Headquarters during numerous assignments and, most recently, in Indiana as the Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Field Office. During his career, Grant developed expertise in the Criminal, Intelligence, and Counterterrorism Programs, and served in numerous leadership roles in the field, at FBI Headquarters, and in a joint duty leadership assignment with the Department of Defense.
In his last FBI Headquarters assignment, Grant served as the Assistant Director of the Counterterrorism
Division, with responsibility for the FBI’s global Counterterrorism Program, and global Counterterrorism
workforce.
Throughout his professional life, Grant has worked extensively with the Jewish community, both in the US and in Israel, and is honored to now be serving the Jewish Community on a full time basis.
Grant is a graduate of Hagerstown High School and Ball State University.
