Jody Ellant
Director
Jody Ellant currently resides in Connecticut, Colorado, and New York City. The mother of 4 adult children, Jody is an entrepreneur and attorney who, along with her late husband, Howard Reiter, founded Romag Fasteners, Inc.
In her volunteering, Jody has used her legal skills to help enact substantial gun reform and environmental legislation to protect children. This effort included working with the Sandy Hook families to assist in preparing and presenting testimony about their unfathomable experiences before the Connecticut State Legislature and personally presenting to the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, on ways in which safety buffer legislation could mitigate the hazards surrounding exposure of children to electromagnetic radiation. Professionally, Jody led the effort to successfully defend Romag against patent and copyright infringement in the 9-0 SCOTUS decision in Romag v. Fossil and was subsequently named, in 2020, by Managing IP Magazine as one of the 50 most influential people in Global Intellectual Property.
Currently, Jody is the CEO of Romag Fasteners, which has production capabilities in Connecticut, China, Vietnam and Italy.
