Larry Glickman joined the Secure Community Network (SCN) as its first ever Director of Synagogue Outreach. Glickman serves as a key liaison on behalf of SCN with synagogue movements and organizations, providing comprehensive support and communal expertise related to the safety and security of the Jewish community.

Glickman brings a wealth of experience to SCN, having served an 11-year tenure with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), most recently as Director of Congregational Shared Services. URJ leads the largest Jewish movement in North America, serving nearly 850 congregations in the U.S. and Canada, and more than 1,200 congregations worldwide. The movement has over 2 million members who identify with Reform Judaism in North America, with 2,200 rabbis guiding these communities.

During his tenure at URJ, Glickman played a pivotal role in launching The Tent, the URJ communication and collaboration platform for lay and professional synagogue leaders, establishing the URJ Marketplace shared services program, and coordinating security training and emergency response for the Reform Movement. In addition to managing the URJ Marketplace, he facilitated connections and collaboration among 15,000 lay and professional leaders of URJ in proprietary enterprise networks. Glickman came to the URJ after working as a synagogue executive director at a variety of congregations for 10 years, after working as a part-time religious school educator and youth group advisor at Congregation Bnai Jehoshua Beth Elohim in Deerfield, IL.
