Mark Henderson

Mark Henderson joined the Secure Community Network (SCN) in December 2023 as the Regional Security Advisor for the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester. Serving in this role as an independent Security Director for the Federation since 2019. In this role, he administers a security program that provides consultations, building and organizational assessments, training and drills, and threat mitigation to Jewish organizations, including schools, daycare centers, synagogues, camps, assisted living facilities, and other Jewish facilities.

Henderson joined the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester after a nearly 35-year career in law enforcement. During his time in law enforcement, Henderson held several positions in the Brighton Police Department including the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief of Police. Mark also served on the New York State Law Enforcement Accreditation Council and was nominated to be the Chair at the time of his retirement.
