Stephen Hoffman

Stephen H. Hoffman is Chairman of the Board of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation. He previously served as president of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland for 35 years. Mr. Hoffman also served as president and CEO of United Jewish Communities, now The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).
Mr. Hoffman was appointed by President George Bush to serve on the United States delegation to the Conference on Anti-Semitism. He is active on several boards, including the David and Inez Myers Foundation, the Musical Arts Foundation, and the Maltz Foundation, and is the founding director of the Council for Initiatives of Jewish Education.
Mr. Hoffman is a graduate of Dickinson College, holds a master’s in social work from the University of Maryland, and a master’s in Jewish studies from the Baltimore Hebrew University.
